Former New York Yankee catcher Rick Cerone paid a visit to the Ridgewood Saving's Bank at 1134 Morris Park Avenue. Cerone signed autographs and poised for photos with customers during his visit on Saturday, September 18. The bank was celebrating a recent move and customers enjoyed meeting the former Yankee, who said he would stop in Belmont for some pasta. Cerone, born in Newark, NJ., retired from baseball after the 1992 season, after a 17-year career with Major League Baseball.
At the special event are (Left to Right): bank manager Edith Duchatclier, former NY Yankee Rick Cerone and bank manager Joann Garrett.
Holding their new autographed baseball's are Yankee fans Giancarlo Zirpolo, 13, and his sister Daniela, 10.
