Cops gun down knife-wielding man

Cops fatally shot a knife-wielding Morris Park man after he came at them with a 6-inch steak knife, investigators said.

At around 11:20 p.m. on March 20, police in Morris Park responded to a call of a family dispute in which the victim was being terrorized with a knife at 1545 Rhinelander Avenue. Once there the officers confronted the 46-year-old man who was wielding a 6-inch steak knife. After ignoring orders to drop the weapon, cops say the man came at them with the knife. The officers fired at the man killing him. 

The deceased had recently moved into the apartment building but neighbors complained of odd behavior from the moment he moved in.
